SmartFilm Greenland is Greenland’s (and the Nordic countries’) first Smartphone film festival open for international submissions.

The first edition takes place September 18-20, 2020 in Ilulissat/Greenland.

With the establishment of this smartphone film festival we strive for the goal to motivate and encourage Greenlanders to add their stories to the narrative of the contemporary Greenland which is adulerated by so many clichees created abroad. While open for international subscriptions, we also want to empower Greenland`s youth to tell their stories and thus contribute to Greenland’s narrative in an international context. Workshops, experience exchange and discussions form th additional program.

Call for submissions opens April 1st, 2020.
